What you need to know.

What is a Pikler?

Invented over 100 years ago by Hungarian Paediatrician Dr. Emmi Pikler the style has stayed the same, it can be used for children as young as 6 months to 5 years old it can enhance your child's development. This climbing structure helps develop gross motor skills, confidence, physical strength and agility whilst encouraging free movement and free play.

Safety

The equipment should always be placed on a soft but sturdy play surface, do not place item on hard ground or concrete. Never leave your children unsupervised. An adult should always be actively supervising and within a safe distance.
Wood is a natural product that can deteriorate over time, before each play session inspect the entire structure to make sure that it is safe and stable for your child. We have a weight recommendation of up to 45kgs.

Assembly

The only tool required to put together a Pikler is an electric drill. (We have heard of several successful installs using a hand screwdriver). We supply an allen key and instructions with each Pikler order. All ramps come ready for use.

Our Shipping

Please allow 7 to 10 business days to handcraft and dispatch your order, we continue to ship nationwide without any disruptions, however from September 2021 due to further lockdowns and Covid-19 there has been significant delays by Australia Post and Courier Transit times. Unfortunately we have no control over their delays. We have resumed our pick up service from Rowville or Black Rock.

Each Crafted By Dad piece is uniquely handmade. We build each item to order using Australian wood. All of our products are finished with vegan non toxic food safe oils.
